Designed to Stand Out

Oct 20, 2015

Everywhere I go my eyes are searching the elements and features that bring empty or open spaces to life. Telling a story on a blank wall is an opportunity to share historical background about where you came from, where you are now or plans of what could be in the not so distant future.

Dimensional graphics bring spatial depth to your logo and message allowing you to stand out. This is illustrated below in some recent installations completed by the Purpose1 team.

THE LOOK:

What is your vision for the overall look of the space, including what you may NOT want to see?

Are you looking for a lot of dimension such as plaque-mounted, or a lower profile design applied directly to the wall? This concept is often ideal for a hallway.

Do you have a material preference such as metal, acrylic or wood?

Would you prefer a visible mounting method to add to the overall design, or a hidden mount which allows the logo to appear as if ‘floating’ on the wall?

THE SPACE:

What type of lighting is nearby or in the space? Don’t forget to include natural light!

Is there a likelihood that the logo may be moved in the next 2 years?

Is your lobby space limited access or a public space?

Have you considered creating a timeline to illustrate the mission or history of your organization on an adjacent wall?
